You really can't go wrong with a simple, classy little black dress and pearls a la Audrey.  This look can take you from day to night, with or without the gloves and cigarette.  =)  I was pleasantly surprised to find this dress at Forever 21 in Las Vegas last January--the fabric and cut definitely make it look more expensive than it really was.  I love the twirl-ability of the skirt (yes, I just made that word up), and the modest cut that can be appropriate for pretty much any occasion.
