iAmsterdam Style: Convertible White Field Jacket + Moto Jeans + Booties

After about a week of skiing in Ischgl (see my apres ski style post here), my #1 guy and I went to Amsterdam for a few extra days prior to flying home.  This was my first trip to Amsterdam, and I was so impressed.  I am adding Amsterdam to my list of cities where I could happily live--it is a walkable city with a wonderful mix of people, cultures, and fantastic food.  Amsterdam is similar to Seattle in that the weather can be unpredictable: we didn't know if it would be raining or sunny, so I packed layered outfits like I wear at home.  Our first full day in Amsterdam, we walked around the city and visited the Rijksmuseum.  The Rijksmuseum has the "I amsterdam" letters that are a statement of inclusion, the city's "catch phrase," and a must-stop for photos.  It seemed fitting to take a few pics in front of the "I amsterdam letters," although it is impossible to get photos by yourself unless you go very early in the morning.  I couldn't help but smile at the group of Chinese boys that climbed up on top of the letters as I was standing in front for photos--they look like my hype men!  My outfit for a full day of sightseeing consisted of a hooded insulated jacket layered over a collared shirt, merino wool sweater, moto jeans, crossbody bag, and booties.  I added a scarf later on in the day when the weather got cooler and threatened to rain.
