Restaurant Review: Vendemmia, Seattle, WA

I don't know about you, but I am relieved that Friday is finally here!  Fridays are always a good day for foodie reviews, so today I want to talk about a new restaurant that recently opened in the Madrona neighborhood of Seattle.  Vendemmia is a modern restaurant that offers guests creative handmade pasta and Italian entrees.  The chef behind Vendemmia, Brian Clevenger, has an impressive resume: a Two Michelin Star restaurant in France, the James Beard Award winning Delfina in San Francisco, and most recently the two Ethan Stowell restaurants Staple & Fancy Mercantile and Tavolata in Seattle.  We visited Vendemmia about a week after they opened, so the team was still working out decor but I loved the high ceilings, industrial feel, and huge windows with the ability to open the entire front of the restaurant.  We read online that there would be a four-course chef's tasting menu available for a set price of $50 per person, but at the time we went that was not yet available.  We shared four dishes from the menu plus a dessert, and everything was well prepared.  I would definitely go back to try the chef's tasting menu at the counter once the team works that piece out.  Please read on for photos and descriptions of our delicious meal at Vendemmia.

Grilled tombo albacore with avocado, fennel, and watercress.

Top left: Cavatelli pasta with cherry tomato, baby zucchini, and mint.
Bottom right: Paccheri pasta with pork shank, fava bean, and chili.

New York Steak with porcini mushroom, turnip, and crouton.

 Fresh panna cotta for dessert.

I hope you enjoyed these photos of our meal at Vendemmia, and if you are in Seattle I absolutely recommend a visit.  Thank you for visiting my blog today, and I hope you have a great weekend!
