Classic Wrap Dress

When you think of a classic wrap dress, what images pop into your mind?  Most likely you think of the iconic Diane Von Furstenberg wrap dress, or perhaps the now famous Issa London wrap dress worn by Kate Middleton in November 2010 to announce the royal engagement.  Both styles are incredibly popular, but at price tags of $500+ they are not an impulse purchase.  However, sometimes a savvy shopper gets lucky and finds a bargain, like my dress in today's post.  It was a random Nordstrom Rack visit in 2012, when I was intending to purchase something completely different (shoes probably?  I don't remember) but stumbled across this Issa look-alike by the brand Eliza J.  At a pricetag of under $100, I couldn't resist my own royal inspired wrap dress.  I love the deep blue color and that fact that it will never go out of style.  I wore this dress for the umpteenth time to dinner in Anacortes during last weekend's getaway.  We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at A'Town Bistro on Commercial Street, and found this mural on the side of the building by local artist Bill Mitchell.  I kept the rest of the outfit simple by adding classic nude patent pumps, a favorite neutral clutch, and silver jewelry.  Be sure to scroll down for outfit details, more of my wrap dress picks, and a link to enter the current Amazon group giveaway!
