Scallop Hem Top & Skirt

One day last week I needed an outfit that could work for several hours of important meetings at the office as well as happy hour afterward. My usual combination for this type of work day is a dress and blazer, but this time I wanted to wear something different. In looking through my closet, I kept coming back to this red scallop hem pencil skirt. While the skirt is a little bright, I knew I could keep the rest of the outfit neutral so as to not be overwhelming. In the end, I decided to layer a long neutral vest over a white top and red pencil skirt, both with scalloped hems. I completed the outfit with my nude Simple Pumps (the red bottoms match nicely!) and a white/taupe tote. I love the subtle scallop-on-scallop look, and I feel like this outfit can easily work from now through spring because there are so many scallop pieces available in spring collections!
