Travel Style: High-Top Sneakers

I hope you are having a great week so far! Earlier this week I shared an outfit that I wore on my recent Japan trip, and today I want to continue the topic of travel style. If I know that I will be walking quite a bit during a vacation, I make sure to choose comfortable pairs of shoes. In the past, I avoided traveling outside of the United States with sneakers because many sneaker styles had bold colors and were way too noticeable. They instantly marked you as a tourist! However, these days there are so many more comfortable and stylish sneaker options available that I no longer see it being an issue. Many brands have worldwide appeal, but I still personally prefer simple colors like black, grey, or white for my travels. I picked up these black High-Top Sneakers right before this recent Japan trip because they were water-resistant, fur-lined, and comfortable for all-day wear. The fur lining kept my feet toasty during chilly mornings and evenings when Tokyo temperatures hovered just above freezing! In today's outfit, I styled these High-Top Sneakers with a chambray shirt, quilted down vest, leggings, crossbody satchel, and a cozy blanket scarf for a casual day exploring the city with our group. Please scroll through for more photos, outfit links, and more of my picks for travel-friendly sneakers as well as a link to enter the current Amazon giveaway.
